Sachika Mizuno is one of the leading violinists in Japan, her versatile performance gives crucial influences extensively.

Sachika Mizuno is a professor of Senzoku Gakuen College of Music, the representative of string orchestra “Virtuosos of Yokohama”, the chairperson of the nonprofit organization of studying Just Intonation Music, and a member of Yokohama Music Culture Association.

During her university student days, Sachika Mizuno has been already performing actively with major orchestras, both domestic and overseas, and also showing excellent performances in music programs on television and radio.

Sachika Mizuno has won numerous prizes and awards since her studying at Tokyo Geijutsu Daigaku (Tokyo National University of Fine Art & Music) to the present including;
- 1st prize and Leucadia Award at the 44th Music Competition of Japan,
- Matsushita Award at the Competition for Overseas Dispatching,
- Prize winner at 7th International Wieniawski Violin Competition,
- 1st prize of chamber ensembles section at the 15th Min-on Music Competition.
Her recital, held at the small hall of Tokyo Bunka Kaikan in 2003, is selected by Ongaku-no-tomo magazine in 2003 as Best Concert of the Year (Selector: Mr. Takehisa Hasegawa).
Sahika Mizun is virtuoso not only in classical music, she is also familiar with modern and contemporary music, enthusiastically performs music of Japanese composers and participate in many recordings performed by wide variety of famous musicians.
Sachika Mizuno released her solo album in 1999, which fully consists of Japanese composers’ works.

Violin duo CDs, with her daughter Ayano Arai, “Mother, Daughter and Violin - Sachika & Ayano” (2000), “Milk” (2001), “Dream…The Nutcracker, etc.” (2004) are released.
She supervises eight scores including “Masterpieces for Violin Duo”, “The Nutcracker Suite for Violin Duo”, and “Japanese Melodies for Violin Duo”.
Wide range repertoire, fabulous sense of music, and outstanding technique, her performance is building higher and higher reputations.

Besides continuing fulfilling performance as an excellent solo violinist, Sachika Mizuno is passionately keeping touch with ensemble and education. Holding open seminar around the country or being on the jury at many music competition (Student Music Concours of Japan, Kanagawa Music Competition et al.), she cultivates and supports coming generations.
Her recital and master-class receive a favorable reputation, thanks to which she is invited to several music festivals in the United States, France, China, etc.
