Ukrainian violinist Dmytro Udovychenko was born in Kharkiv in 1999.
He studied at Kharkiv Special Music School for gifted children with Ludmila Varenina. During school years he was awarded numerous prizes at international competitions and participated at international festivals.
As a member of the “New Talents” project Dmytro performed as a soloist at Moscow House of Music with The Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra conducted by Vladimir Spivakov.
At the age of 14 Mr. Udovychenko was admitted in the class of Professor Boris Garlitsky at the Folkwang University of Arts in Essen, Germany.
He has received major prizes at the international competitions, such as Leopold Auer Competition in Saint-Petersbourg, Jascha Heifetz Competition in Vilnius and The Grand Prix of 2018 Andrea Postacchini Competition in Fermo.
He played the Pietro Guarneri 1702 violin, provided by Villa Musica Rheinland-Pfalz Foundation.
Dmytro participated in master classes with Ana Chumachenko, Christian Tetzlaff, Dmitri Sitkovetsky. Presently Mr. Udovychenko continues to study with Professor Boris Garlitsky in Folkwang University.
He is supported by Leonidas Kavakos LKM scholarship and Ukrainian VERE MUSIC Foundation.
In October 2018, Dmytro Udovychenko has won the 2nd Prize, the Audience’s Prize and the Internet Community Prize at Josef Joachim Competition in Hannover.
Currently, he plays the Giovanni Battista Guadagnini violin, provided by the Franz Behrens Stiftung.
