Kanon Kobayashi was born in Tokyo, Japan in 1997. At the age of 6, she started playing the violin at the Toho Gakuen School of Music.
Kanon has been honored with numerous awards in various international competitions, including Special Prize at the Il Piccolo Violino Magico Competition in Italy in 2007, and the 2 nd Prize at the 6 th International Louis Spohr Competition held at Germany Weimar in 2010.
She also won the 1 st Prize at the 63 rd All Japan Student Music Competition in Tokyo, and the highest Prize at the 19 th Japan Classic Music Competition in 2009.
She was one of the semi-finalists at the Menuhin Competition held at Beijing in 2012. In 2017 she won the third prize at the 18 th Osaka International Music Competition Recital Division. In 2018 she won the third prize at International Grumiaux Competition held in Brussel.
She has performed in many musical events including concerts in Stuttgart Germany, and at Carnegie Hall in USA twice in 2010 and 2019. She has held many solo recitals in Japan, both in Osaka and in Tokyo.
From 2016 spring she has been going to Keio University school of Medicine, at the same time, has been studying with Prof. Akiko Tatsumi and Ms.Akiko Tanaka at the Toho Gakuen School of Music.
