Oukalin Yin is a Chinese violinist, born in a musical family. In 2004, She was admitted into the violin specialty of the Primary school attached to Shanghai Conservatory of Music for study with Zhou Ming’en. During the period, She had excellent performance in violin specialty, obtained Shanghai Arts Talent Scholarship and Fu Chengxian Scholarship. Since 2009, Oukalin has been instructed by Professor Zheng Shisheng. She has been invited to participate in important domestic music activities, and cooperated with domestic and international famous musicians.
At 2013, she was admitted by New England Conservatory, and studied with Mr. Buswell. Oukalin studied with Ms. Ayano Ninomiya in NEC, and she finished her Master Degree in NEC at 2019 and now she is studying at Berlin with Professor.

In 2018 April, Oukalin won the Senior group Third prize of TCO concerto competition in NY. As the same year January, she won the Second prize of New England Conservatory Concerto Competition.
In 2016, Oukalin won the Bales violin competition. She had the right of using the Famous Joseph Guarneri’s violin ‘Serdet’ for one year. 2012.10 , Oukalin won the highest award during 10th national youth group violin competition in China
Culture Art Award. This prize is the highest-level competition in China. In 2009-2010 Season, she was invited to participate in 16th Rumania International Youth Violin Competition and obtained the third prize of youth team. In December 2008, at 13 ages, Oukalin attended 2008’s 1st CCTV National Piano and violin Competition. She was awarded the first prize of youth team with favorable reputation in China.
As a solo performer, Oukalin has been attended various important concerts, recitals and activities.
On May 26 2009, for 50th Anniversary for Butterfly Lovers violin Concerto, the celebration concert was held in Beijing Great Hall of The People. Oukalin was invited to attend the concert in cooperation with Yu Long, as well as China Philharmonic Orchestra. In December 2009, Oukalin was invited to participate as the youngest one of musicians in Beijing International Music Festival. China Philharmonic Orchestra cooperated with famous violinist Pinchas Zukerman for Bach Double Violin Concerto. In 2011-2012 season, Oukalin has been invited as soloist performed with Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra, XiaMen Philharmonic Orchestra, Guiyang Symphony Orchestra, and Qingdao Philharmonic Orchestra with various famous conductors. She will hold two recitals in Netherland last summer.
As a chamber musician, Oukalin also founded a Piano trio named “YUN” from 2016 with her friends. Their group has been invited to perform in NEC’s Jordan Hall as NEC’s 150th anniversary celebration. She also been selected in Heifetz institute as one of the fellowship in chamber seminar program as full scholarship in 2019.
