Matis Vaytsner

 

In 1960 Matis Vaytsner graduated from Solomiya Krushelnytska Lviv secondary special music boarding school; in 1965 — from Mykola Lysenko Lviv State Academy of Music (prof.L.Derkach class) and postgraduate studies in Gnessin Russian Academy of Musicin in 1969 (prof P.Bondarenko class), from 1968 to 1990 was working at the department of violin of Lviv Conservatory. His active performing, educational, musical and social activities in the life of the Lviv region lasted for 30 years. He is the first accompanist of Lviv chamber orchestra and worked with famous world musicians: O.Krysa, Y.Bashmet, H.Kremer, T.Hrindenko, N.Hutman, F.Druzhynin, D.Oystrah, V.Spivakov, M.Muntyan, V.Hornostayeva, O.Slobodyanyk, S.Sondetskis, M. Skoryk, M.Kolessa, Y.Lutsiv, B.Kotorovych, O.Kudryashov, O.Lyubimov. In 1981 he initiated foundation of Lviv Music festival ”Virtuosos”.

Since 1990 M.Vaytsner has continued his career with glorious collectives — “The Virtuosos of Moscow” by Vladimir Spivakov and “Soloists of Moscow” by Yuri Bashmet. Since 1991 he has been working as a professor of Lyon and Paris conservatories, constantly conducts numerous master classes in France, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, performing in various combinations of chamber ensembles.
